A. Fill in the web diagram with the key characteristics of Stalinist Russia.
1. Industrial policies: Five-Years Plan, to promote industrial growth. Limited the production of consumer goods.
2. Agricultural policies: Established collective farms, eliminated the wealthy peasants (Kulaks)
3. Art/Religion: Controlled media; censored all forms of creativity. Replaced religious teaching with Communist ideals, Russian Orthodox Church main target of persecution.
4. Education: Expanded and control education at all levels, opened educational opportunities to women.
5. Control Methods: used secret polices and violent tacticts to crush opposition. He launched the Great Purge.
6. Propaganda methods: used indoctrination and art to glorify the Communist state. Created state supported young groups to train future leaders.
